Conventional Charging
Conventional charging (ordinary charging) has a low charging current of about 15 A. Conventional battery charging methods all use constant voltage or constant current charging with low current, and the general charging time is 5-8h, or even 10-20h.

Fast charging

Fast charging, also known as emergency charging, is to provide short-time charging service for electric vehicles within 20min~2h of parking with higher current for a short time. The general charging current is 150~400A.

The advantages of fast charging mode are: short charging time; long life of rechargeable battery (can be charged more than 2000 times); no memory, can be charged and discharged in large capacity, can be charged 70% to 80% in a few minutes; because charging in a short time (about 10-15min) can make the battery storage capacity reach 80% to 90%, similar to the refueling time, therefore, when building the corresponding charging station It can be built without a large parking area.
The disadvantages are: the charger charging efficiency is low, and the corresponding work and installation costs are high; due to the fast charging, the charging current is high, which puts forward higher requirements on the charging technology method and the safety of charging, while the metering charge design also needs special consideration.

The electric vehicle has a moderate range, i.e., fast replenishment of electricity between vehicle runs to meet operational needs; because the corresponding high current demand may have a harmful effect on the public grid, the fast charging mode is therefore only applicable to dedicated charging stations.
