Also known as mechanical charging, in addition to the conventional direct charging of the vehicle, the battery can also be charged by replacing the power battery. The replacement battery integrates the advantages of the conventional charging mode and the fast charging mode. The biggest limitation of the charging mode of battery replacement is that major manufacturers need to unify the battery specification, size and other standards, and cannot guarantee the consistent performance of each battery pack, which restricts its development. Another more important reason is that the market is monopolized by the State Grid of China and there is no competitor, resulting in the lack of proper development of battery replacement charging mode.
Wireless charging
The wireless charging mode means that the energy is transferred by means of electromagnetic induction, electric field coupling, magnetic resonance and radio waves without cables. To adopt wireless charging mode, it is first necessary to install on-board induction charger on the vehicle. There is no mechanical link between the power receiving part and the power supply part of the vehicle, but the connection between the power receiving body and the power supply body is more accurate.
Subject to the limitations of technology maturity and basic equipment, electric experts believe that wireless charging technology cannot be applied in mass production for the time being. The mainstream wireless charging technology in the industry mainly uses electromagnetic induction and magnetic resonance to transfer electric energy. However, magnetic resonance charging is more efficient, and the intensity of electromagnetic radiation is lower than that of mobile phone calls. More importantly, the power transmission coil and the receiving coil need not be very aligned, which is better than electromagnetic induction.

Mobile charger
For the battery of electric vehicles, the most ideal situation is that the vehicle is charged when cruising on the road, which is the so-called mobile charging (MAC). In this way, electric vehicle users do not have to look for charging stations, park their vehicles and spend time charging. The MAC system is buried under a section of road, that is, the charging area, and no additional space is required.
Both contact and inductive MAC systems can be implemented. For the contact MAC system, a contact arch needs to be installed at the bottom of the vehicle body. By contacting the charging element embedded in the road, the contact arch can obtain instantaneous high current. When the electric vehicle cruises through the MAC area, its charging process is pulse charging. For the inductive MAC system, the vehicle mounted contact arch is replaced by an induction coil, and the charging element embedded in the road is replaced by a high current winding that can generate a strong magnetic field. Obviously, due to the influence of mechanical losses and the installation position of the contact arch, the contact MAC is not attractive to people.
