Considering the mechanical performance requirements, electrical performance requirements, safety, environmental protection and service life of charging cables, new low smoke halogen-free flame retardant materials, polyester elastomer, polyurethane materials and other insulating materials and sheath materials are more suitable for charging cables, which has become the development direction of charging cable products. Because the new halogen-free material does not contain halogen, there is no harmful gas and corrosive gas during combustion. At the same time, it has less smoke and good flame retardant performance, and has high safety; In terms of mechanical properties, halogen-free materials and polyester materials have higher mechanical properties than those specified in IEC60245 and IEC60227 standards, which can ensure the reliability and service life of charging cables during use. The main technical indexes of new materials are compared with those specified in IEC60245 standards, Iev-1 is halogen-free thermoplastic polyolefin material or polyester material, and EVI-2 is halogen-free thermosetting polyolefin or ethylene propylene rubber mixture.
